Gymnothorax bathyphilus is a deep water moray eel found in the south Pacific Ocean, around Easter Island.[1] It was first named by Randall and McCosker in 1975,[1] and reaches a maximum length of about 76 centimetres. The type specimen was taken at a depth of 250 meters.[1]
